How to Use 4 mil Mylar for Stenciling

  1. Cut the Mylar sheet to the desired length.
  2. Use a scalpel or Gyro-cut to create your stencil design. For machine stencil cutting, set up your Cricut or Silhouette with the appropriate settings for Mylar.
  3. Place your stencil on the project surface and secure it as needed (we recommend using Repositionable Adhesive Spray and Frog Tape to secure stencils).
  4. Apply Paint or Medium, then remove stencil for a clean, professional finish (Read more about stenciling techniques in our blog tutorials).
  5. Clean the Stencil.
